Palestinian crochet and handmade gifts

Much of this work is made at home, in the evenings, by women whose craft supports a whole household. Crocheted keyrings, flowers, bags and small watermelon pieces — the watermelon carries the colours of the Palestinian flag, which is why you see it so often. These are the easiest things to post abroad and the easiest way to put money straight into a family's hands.
