Privacy

The short version

This site sells nothing and asks for nothing you don't choose to send. There are no visitor accounts, no advertising trackers and no third-party tracking cookies.

When you send an inquiry

If you use the short form, we keep the name, email address, country and message you typed, together with the piece you asked about, so the local contact in Bethlehem can reply. Nothing you write in the form is ever shown publicly.

If you use the WhatsApp or Email buttons instead, the message opens in your own app and goes straight to the seller — we never see its contents.

Price, payment and delivery are agreed between you and the seller. No payment ever happens on this site.

Visit figures

We count page visits so the volunteers know which work people are looking at. We record the page, a country (worked out from your connection, at country level only), the language and whether the device is a phone, tablet or computer. We do not store IP addresses, names or precise locations, and we do not load any advertising or analytics service from another company.

These figures are private to the people who run the site. Nothing about views is ever shown on the public pages.

What is stored in your browser

Your language choice, your currency choice and the pieces you mark as favourites are kept on your own device so the site remembers them. They are not sent anywhere.

Photos and videos

Hidden data inside uploaded photos and videos — location, device and owner details — is removed before anything is stored, to protect the artists and the seller.

Videos from YouTube or Vimeo only begin loading after you press play, so nothing is requested from them until you ask for it.

Keeping and removing things

Inquiries are kept while they are being dealt with and for as long as they are useful to the seller. Visit figures are kept in a summarised form and contain nothing that identifies you.
