What we aim for

Everyone should be able to look at this work and get in touch, whatever device or help they use. We build towards the widely used WCAG 2.1 AA guidance and fix anything we find that falls short.

What is already in place

Every page can be used with a keyboard alone, with a visible outline on whatever is selected. Images carry descriptions, headings follow a clear order, and text keeps a strong contrast against the dark background.

If your device is set to reduce motion, the fades and slow zooms stop. The opening animation can always be skipped, and sound is never played on its own.

The whole site is available in Arabic, laid out right to left, and the choice is remembered on your device. Buttons and links are large enough to press comfortably on a phone.

Where it still falls short

Some artwork descriptions are still short, and parts of the Arabic wording were machine translated and are waiting on a native review. Documents kept with a piece are photographs of paper, so their text cannot be read aloud by a screen reader — write to us and we will describe any of them.

Tell us if something blocks you

Write to hello@bethlehemwallart.com with the page and what happened, and we will fix it or send you the same information another way. If a page is hard to use, you can always inquire by email instead.
